A group of natives of the Aghdam region of Azerbaijan for the first time goes to the region after its liberation from the Armenian occupation.
The special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the part of the Aghdam region liberated from occupation, Emin Huseynov, wrote about this on Twitter.
“We are going to Aghdam,” Huseynov said.
During the 44-day Patriotic War that began on September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijani army liberated 5 cities, 4 settlements, 286 villages, and a large number of strategic heights in Karabakh from the Armenian occupation.
Armenia, recognizing defeat, signed an act of surrender, according to which it pledged to liberate the occupied territories in the Aghdam, Lachin and Kelbajar regions of Azerbaijan.
According to a trilateral statement signed by the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, as well as Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on November 10, 2020, the Armenian army was soon withdrawn from the named areas.
