Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara, who was brutally murdered by the mob, was working as an export manager in a factory in Sialkot. It is being told that they had an argument with the workers of the same factory over some issue, after which the incident took a violent form and a mob of hundreds of people publicly thrashed Priyankata Kumara and burnt her dead body. The government of Sri Lanka has given a strong reaction to the Imran Khan government on the death of its citizen. Sri Lanka’s Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son Namal Rajapaksa has slammed the Pakistan government in this matter.

Namal Rajapaksa said that if the fundamentalists are left free like this, then this sad incident can happen to anyone. , which is beyond comprehension. However, I appreciate Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for promising to bring those responsible to justice. We should keep in mind that if extremist forces roam freely like this, it can happen to anyone.

On this tragic incident, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka has expressed hope that the government of Pakistan will take action in the brutal murder case of Priyanka Diyawadana and bring justice to her family. According to media reports, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Islamabad is engaged in gathering more information on this matter. Human rights organization Amnesty International has also called for an independent investigation.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has also condoled the incident. He said in his tweet that the horrific attack on the factory in Sialkot and the burning of Sri Lankan manager alive is a day of shame for Pakistan. I am monitoring the investigation and will not allow any mistake. All those responsible will be punished.

Over 100 people have been arrested so far in connection with the murder of Sri Lankan national Priyanth, an export manager at the factory. Ten teams have been formed to arrest the people involved in this mob lynching.

According to media reports, a Sri Lankan national was thrashed to death by a mob in Sialkot, Pakistan on Friday. The mob also burnt the body of a Sri Lankan national. After the entire incident, a heavy police force was sent to the area to bring the situation under control. Sialkot district superintendent of police Omar Saeed Malik said that the name of the deceased Sri Lankan national was Priyantha Kumara. The incident took place on Wazirabad Road in Sialkot.
