Adaptive quarantine in Ukraine extended until October 1

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the adaptive quarantine until October 1, 2021. This was announced during a government meeting on Wednesday by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

According to the head of government, today the epidemiological situation in the country is under control, but experts record the first negative trends in the increase in hospitalizations for coronavirus.

In Ukraine, in June, it was announced that the quarantine would be extended until August 31, but some mitigations were made in the quarantine measures.

Depending on the epidemiological situation in the country, there are four “color” zones – “green”, “yellow”, “red” and “orange”.

In the regions included in the “green” zone, there are cafes, entertainment centers and cinemas. However, wearing a mask is required.

Over the past day, 1,122 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Ukraine.

6,846,399 people were vaccinated in the country, including 167,173 in the last 24 hours.
