New Delhi: Forbes magazine has published the list of Indian billionaires. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped the list with a net worth of $92 billion (Rs 7.63 lakh crore). Gautam Adhani has been relegated to the second position. His net worth is $68 billion (Rs. 5.64 lakh crore).
Forbes magazine noted that the Hindenburg report has caused Adani’s property value to plummet. Last January, US-based Hindenburg released a report on the Adani Group. In it, Hindenburg accused the Adani Group of various irregularities including stock rigging.
Following this, Adani Group’s share price suffered a sharp fall. Adani Group suffered a loss of Rs.11 lakh crore.
In this case, Adani, who was on the first place last year in the list of Indian billionaires, has moved to the second place this year.
Shiv Nadar at 3rd place: Shiv Nadar is third in this list. His net worth has risen to $29 billion (Rs. 2.40 lakh crore). Savitri Jindal (Rs 2 lakh crore), Radhakishan Tamani (Rs 1.90 lakh crore), Cyrus Poonawala (Rs 1.75 lakh crore), Induja family (Rs 1.66 lakh crore), Dilip Sanghvi (Rs 1.57 lakh crore), Kumar Birla (Rs 1.45 Lakh Crore) and Shapoor Mistry (Rs 1.41 Lakh Crore) are in the top ten positions in this list.
