At Computex 2024 in Taipei, Acer announced the launch of the SpatialLabs Eyes 3D camera. Designed for photographers and content creators, this camera allows you to capture immersive stereoscopic images in 3D and view them in real time thanks to integration with the SpatialLabs family of products. The Acer SpatialLabs Eyes camera was designed specifically to meet the needs of professional photographers. With a resolution of 8 megapixels per eye, this compact camera features a built-in selfie mirror and a weatherproof design, making it suitable for all weather conditions.
Advanced features include: auto and touch focus, electronic image stabilization (EIS) to ensure smooth and stable shooting, manual mode that allows photographers to adjust ISO, white balance and shutter speed, offering complete control on image output. In addition to 3D image and video capture, the SpatialLabs Eyes camera enables real-time streaming and 3D storytelling. Users can share their 3D content live on platforms such as YouTube thanks to the new Acer SpatialLabs Player 3.0. High-resolution 3D video calling will be available in Q3 2024 via the SpatialLabs video calling widget, which supports applications such as Teams (1080p), Zoom (720p), and Google Meet (1080p).
Acer has introduced a range of new developer tools, including plug-ins for Unreal Engine 5.3 and Unity 2021.3 LTS and 2022.3 LTS, available from June. The new SpatialLabs Model Viewer Pro application, compatible with SpatialLabs Pro devices, is designed to improve 3D content workflow and user experience. Key features include: support for major 3D and glTF file formats, presentation mode to customize and showcase a catalog of templates, overlays with customizable logos and backgrounds, support for HDRI. The Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera (ASEC-1) will be available in Italy in the third quarter of 2024, with a starting price of €549.
