Municipal elections | In Gujarat, the BJP has again won the urban body elections. The party swept all six municipal corporations and won. But in these elections, the Aam Aadmi Party is being discussed more than BJP. This is because the AAP has captured 27 seats in Surat. Whereas Congress did not get a single seat here. All the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party are describing this as their big victory. Also, it has now been told that on 26 February, CM Arvind Kejriwal is reaching Gujarat.
AAP leaders told- the beginning of new politics
Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh called it the victory of the Arvind Kejriwal model. He wrote on Twitter about the results of Surat, “The people of Gujarat also want Arvind Kejriwal model of electric water medical education like Delhi, the message of today’s victory is for the whole country. Hearty congratulations to Gujarat Aam Aadmi Party and great people of Gujarat.”
Apart from Sanjay Singh, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself described this victory in Surat as the beginning of new politics. Kejriwal said, “Heartfelt congratulations to the people of Gujarat for introducing new politics.”
All the leaders of the party tweeted about bringing the Congress to zero and becoming the main opposition party here. Not only this, Gujarat was dominated by Aam Aadmi Party’s Twitter handle. Sometimes the video was tweeted with “This is our power getting” and sometimes “The discussion is happening on its own …”. Party leaders said that now the public has understood that only the Aam Aadmi Party can defeat the BJP, not the Congress.
What is the meaning of this entry of the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat, now considered a BJP stronghold? Political experts believe that the path of this assembly elections has been cleared for the Aam Aadmi Party. Somewhere the party will now come out with full force in the next Gujarat assembly elections and if managed to reach the ground, the AAP can benefit.
Kejriwal’s roadshow in Gujarat
AAP’s preparations can be gauged from the fact that now CM Arvind Kejriwal is reaching Gujarat himself. It has been told from the party that Kejriwal will go to Gujarat on 26 February. While he will thank the people for the victory in Gujarat, the party has said that Kejriwal will also do a big road show during this time.
Anti BJP votes directly in AAP’s account
Regarding the victory in Surat, it is being said that the Patidars have supported the Aam Aadmi Party. Patidars are a big part of businessmen in Surat, hence their vote contributed to the victory of AAP. Because the businessmen of Surat have been continuously raising their voice about GST and telling their troubled government. His anger about this also benefited the Aam Aadmi Party.
On the other hand, if we talk about the Congress, it has always been that the anti-BJP votes were available to the Congress. But this time, these votes were snatched from the Congress by the entry of the Aam Aadmi Party. The Congress failed to attract these anti-BJP voters. The direct benefit of which was taken by AAP. Now if the same happens in the upcoming elections, it will be a big blow for the Congress. At the same time, there is a big chance for the Aam Aadmi Party to step into many states.
