Tomorrow, December 5, a new Sonic the Hedgehog game arrives, which many fans will not play (for now), because it is exclusive to Apple Arcade.
The arrival of a new Sonic game is always a joy. Recently, we had a blast with Sonic Superstars, a nostalgic look at the past with cooperative mode, which you can get at a special price at GAME (with prize included).
Last year, we also had a great time with Sonic Frontiers, the hedgehog’s first open-world game. What will be next?
Its name is Sonic Dream Team, and it is a new 3D adventure of the franchise that will arrive in the next few hours. The bad news is that you will not be able to play it on your PC, console or Android device.
And this title is exclusive to Apple Arcade servicea platform that is only accessible on iOS devices, Mac computers and compatible televisions.
If you are one of the people who won’t be able to play it, you can at least take a look at the leaked gameplay of Sonic Dream Team, which shows the first 30 minutes of the game.
Sonic and his friends chase a dream
Sonic Dream Team is a 3D platform game, similar to releases like Sonic Adventure, the reviled Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic Colors, with the particularity that it does not come to PC or consoles.
Not even to Android devices, because it is an Apple Arcade exclusive game. Who knows, maybe in the future we can see it on other platforms, like it happened with Fantasian.
In this adventure, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Rouge (the bat that usually accompanies Shadow) will join together to stop Eggman, who chase a strange artifact capable of making any dream come true.
Along the way, it seems that we meet a new characterwhile taking advantage of each other’s unique abilities (whether it’s flying, running at full speed, gliding, or even climbing).
The leaked gameplay on the SonicWindBlue channel shows the tutorial with Sonic, as well as the first minutes of the game. It must be admitted that they look great for a game derived from the franchise.
There is a little bit of everything: very fast phases in which we knock down enemies, pure and simple platforming, looping, sliding, and even an upper bar that offers us freedom in the levels.
If you want to play it, you’ll have to subscribe to Apple Arcade (there’s a free 3-month promo if you buy a new Apple device), either on iPhone, iPad, Mac or televisions. Of course, Sonic Dream Team looks very, very good.
