On May 20th he will mark the arrival of Dune: Awakening, the first Open-World Multiplayer Survival set on the legendary Planet Arrakis. Funcom has recently published a new video, “Exploring Arrakis – Secrets of the Desert”which offers an in -depth look at the vastness and variety of the desert planet, inspired by the masterpiece of Frank Herbert and the Legendary Entertainment films.
Despite its desert nature, Arrakis proves to be a surprisingly varied environment. Players will be able to explore the planet’s resources using personal scanners and vehicle forms, or climb the highest peaks to launch detection probes and discover points of interest such as wrecks of ships and ecological workshops.

The huge end-game area of the deep desert represents a constant challenge for players, who will have to face storms of choirolis, environmental dangers and the constant search for spice. Planetary storms regularly modify the map, revealing new resources and places, and offering players the opportunity to create maps to sell to others.
Exploration is a key element of dunes: Awakening, But the game also offers a Sandbox combat system, which will be deepened in a next video.
Dune: Awakening will be available from May 20th. Players can already download the Character Creator & La Benchmark Mode on Steam to prepare for the launch and obtain the exclusive skin of the frameblad knife.
