Strong opponent of Vietnamese women’s futsal
On the afternoon of January 19, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team faced the Taiwanese women’s futsal team, in the final round of Group D – the replay of the 2025 Asian women’s futsal tournament. This is the decisive match for which team will advance. with first place in Group D. Previously, both teams had soon won tickets to play in the final round of the 2025 Asian women’s futsal tournament, with a winning record in the first 2 matches.
Accordingly, Vietnam won 5-1 against Myanmar and defeated Macau 21-0. Taiwan defeated Macau 18-0, beat Myanmar 4-0. Before facing each other in the final match of Group D on the afternoon of January 19, Vietnam and Taiwan both had 6 points.
The Vietnamese women’s futsal team and the Taiwanese women’s futsal team created a fairly balanced match on the field. The Taiwanese women’s futsal team scored the opening goal in the 10th minute. Chen Min Haung had a good situation on the left sideline and fired a very strong and dangerous shot, breaking the deadlock of the match, giving Taiwan Loan took a 1-0 lead.
Not long after being behind, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team scored an equalizer. In the 11th minute, from a very well-coordinated phase, Bien Thi Hang created a favorable position for Le Thi Thanh Ngan to finish decisively, bringing the match back to the starting line.

It was not until the 39th minute that the Vietnamese women’s futsal team was able to equalize thanks to the power-play strategy. The Vietnamese girls counterattacked and Bien Thi Hang scored decisively to level the score at 2-2.
This is also the final score of the match. With this result, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team continues to the 2025 Asian women’s futsal finals with first place in Group D. Vietnam and Taiwan both have 7 points, with a record of 2 wins and 1 draw. However, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team ranked higher thanks to goal difference (25 compared to 22).
