Mysterious disease havoc: 16 deaths in 45 days, central team sent for investigation
An unknown and mysterious disease has knocked in a small village in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir for the last few weeks. The disease has so far claimed 16 lives, and most of these deaths have been of children. The entire area is surrounded by an eerie silence, where fear and questions are echoing in every corner.
Series of deaths due to mysterious disease
In Budhal village of Rajouri district, there was such havoc of death in three families within 45 days that the entire area was shocked. Among these dead, five children belonged to the same family. The situation has become so bad that everyone in the village is worried that they might be next.
The symptoms of the disease are as strange as the incident itself. Affected individuals initially experience fever, pain, and nausea. After this his condition deteriorates rapidly and he dies within a few days. The disease has a greater impact on children, but the death of an 80-year-old woman this week indicated that the disease is not limited to a specific age group.
Samples were sent, but no clue was found
To detect the disease, the health department collected hundreds of samples of water, food, and other suspicious items and sent them to the lab. But reports made it clear that the cause of deaths was not a common virus or bacteria. As soon as this information was received, the suspicion became deeper. Now questions are being raised that what is this disease after all and how can it be stopped from spreading?
Strict action taken by central government
On this serious situation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has intervened and ordered the formation of an inter-ministerial team. This team will visit the affected villages from January 19. It will include experts from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers under the leadership of a senior official of the Home Ministry.
This team of experts will not only investigate the causes of the disease but will also work on preventive and control measures to control the condition.
