DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam told news agency ANI that actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his house at 2 am on January 16, 2025. A complaint was received in Bandra Police. An accused has been arrested in the case. Mumbai Police said that the name of the accused is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, his age is 30 years.

He said that in the investigation so far, the police have received information that the accused had entered Saif Ali Khan’s house with the intention of theft. This incident happened during this time. Accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad will be produced in the court and a request for police custody will be made. After that further investigation will be done. In response to the media’s question, Mumbai Police said that we suspect that the accused is of Bangladeshi origin.

Mumbai Police said that they used CCTV footage to arrest the accused, in which he was seen eating Saif Ali Khan.Na was seen going out of the house. Its posters were also put up in Mumbai and surrounding areas.
What happened?
This attack was done with the intention of theft. 54 year old Saif Ali Khan was attacked when he was in his home. He suffered multiple stab wounds, including injuries near the neck and spinal cord. He was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Now he is out of danger and recovering. The accused had entered the bedroom of Saif’s younger son Jeh and attacked him. When the house staff saw him, they raised an alarm, due to which Saif and his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan also got informed. Saif confronted the accused, which led to a fight and he got injured.
