Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has today emphasized on India’s position in the world. He said that looking at the situation in the world, all countries think that maintaining good relations is in the interest of many countries. Addressing a program of the Indian community in Spain on Tuesday, Jaishankar said that India has taken the slogan of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’ to the world. He said that the world wants to understand India’s position and thoughts.
Jaishankar said, “I come back to the invitation that I had received, when the Foreign Ministry and the Ambassador of another country ask you to come and talk, it is worth thinking about why that is and I think today There are three reasons, first – India’s position today is very important because today all the countries of the world, looking at the situation of the world today, think that it is in the interest of many countries to have good relations with India. Therefore, he wants to understand our situation. Second are our capabilities. They feel that this India is the new India. Our economy is in fifth place.”
He further said, everyone says that India will reach third place in a few years. You all remember, 10 years ago, we were at 10th or 11th position. The world today recognizes the speed at which progress is being made in India. So, the first is positioning and the second is capabilities. And the third is really our view, that India is seen as a contributor to the global conversation today. When the world is facing many challenges, somewhere on different issues, we get some ideas, some initiatives. And if you want to hear about it, I’d like to explain a little bit about it. So, let me say a few words about positioning.
