Year End 2024 Big Incident:Today is the last day of the year 2024. The new year is starting tomorrow i.e. from Wednesday. Before stepping into 2025 with new hopes and new dreams, on the last day of the year, remember the painful incidents that took place in the country and around the world in which hundreds of people died. At some places natural disaster caused devastation and at some places a large number of people died tragically due to fire in apartments and gaming zones. Apart from this, hundreds of people lost their lives in recent plane crashes in Kazakhstan and South Korea. On December 29, 2024, 179 people died in a plane crash in South Korea. The incident occurred when Jeju Air’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft was landing at Muan International Airport, when the aircraft skidded off the runway, hit a concrete wall and caught fire. There were a total of 181 people on board this plane, which included 175 passengers and 6 crew members. Only two people, who were crew members, survived the accident.

On December 25, 2024, 38 people died in a terrible plane crash in Kazakhstan. This incident was of Azerbaijan Airlines plane, which crashed near Aktau city of Kazakhstan. A total of 72 people were on board the plane, many of whom were seriously injured.
Fire incident in Kuwait apartment
On June 12, 2024, a terrible fire occurred in Kuwait, in which 49 people died. This fire broke out in an apartment (labor residential building) located in Mangaf area of South Kuwait. Most of the dead included Indian citizens, and more than 50 people were also injured in the incident.

A major landslide in Papua New Guinea on 27 May 2024 has caused serious devastation, in which more than 2,000 people are feared dead due to the debris. This incident took place on 27 May 2024 in Yambali, a remote village in Enga province.

Natural disaster wreaked havoc in Wayanad
On July 30, a devastating landslide caused massive destruction in Wayanad, Kerala, killing more than 400 people and injuring 397. The incident occurred in Punjirimottam, Mundakkai, Chouralamala and Vellarimala villages, where heavy rains led to landslides in the hilly areas. The government and security forces had to carry out rescue operations for several weeks. Hundreds of houses were destroyed in the disaster and the search for dead bodies continued for several days. This was the worst natural disaster in Kerala after the 2018 floods.

Stampede broke out in Hathras satsang
121 people have died in a stampede during a satsang organized on 2 July 2024 in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, including most of the women and children. This incident took place in Phulrai village of Sikandrarau police station area, where suddenly there was chaos in the crowd during the sermon of Bhole Baba. The administration had held the organizers responsible for this incident and said that correct information about the number of people participating in it was not given. According to the complaint lodged with the police, the administration was told that 80 thousand people would participate in the event, whereas more than 2.5 lakh people had participated in it.

Fire broke out in gaming zone of Rajkot
On May 25, 2024, a massive fire incident in a gaming zone in Rajkot, Gujarat caused massive devastation, in which 35 people died. Children were also among those who lost their lives in the accident. The accident happened when summer holidays were going on in the country. This tragic incident of fire took place at TRP Gaming Zone, where around 70 to 80 people were present. The number of children in the gaming zone was also high. The special bench of Gujarat High Court had taken cognizance of this matter and called it a man-made disaster. Besides, instructions were also given to take strict action against the people responsible.
