On this day last month, it was told by the Department of Food and Public Distribution of the Government of India that the latest Mera Ration App (Mera Ration 2.0) allows the user to update the details of his ration card in just one click. Meaning, now you can add new members, remove names of already existing members, change the details of family members in your ration card very easily.

Do this work to add or remove name in ration card
It is very easy to remove name from ration card or add new name through Mera Ration 2.0 app. However, for this Aadhaar number and registered mobile number will be required. To use the Mera Ration 2.0 app, the user will have to go through OTP verification. Users can check the details related to their ration card by logging in with the help of their Aadhaar number.

In the new version of Mera Ration App 2.0, users have been given the facility to add new names in their ration card, delete already existing names and update the details of family members. Whereas this option was not available in the old version Mera Ration App. Now, users can easily update their family members’ information right from their mobile. Now for this, ration card beneficiaries do not need to visit any government office or office because now all this is possible on the phone only.
