Mumbai Boat Accident: A shocking incident came to light off the coast of Mumbai where a boat carrying around 60 people sank. Indian Coast Guard officials informed that so far 20 people have been rescued and are aboard Indian Coast Guard ship Subhadra Kumar Chauhan. A dead body was also recovered during the search operation conducted by ICG ships.
On this accident, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that I have received preliminary information. There were about 30 to 35 people on that boat. 20 of them have been saved. Initial information is that 5 to 7 people are still missing. I will give a statement in the House as soon as I get detailed information. The boat left for Elephanta at around 3.15 pm.
