Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake was formally welcomed at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday, the second day of his state visit to India. President Draupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister welcomed Sri Lankan President Anura Kumar Dissanayake at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Dissanayake inspected the Guard of Honor by the Combined Defense Services.
On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake introduced each other to their respective ministers, diplomats and officials.
The Sri Lankan President is on a state visit to India from 15 December to 17 December. This is Dissanayake’s first bilateral visit to India after assuming office in September. Earlier on Sunday, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan welcomed the Sri Lankan President in Delhi.
