Platforms across the Meta galaxy, including WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, have suffered an international outage, with reports of malfunctions reaching across multiple continents. According to the “map” of reports provided by Downdetector, the problems were not limited to a specific area but extended from Germany to Spain, from the United States to Brazil, and from Australia to Japan, thus highlighting the breadth and the severity of the disruption. At the moment the affected services appear to be working again.
In the same minutes in which problems were reported to the Meta platforms, the Downdetector site also recorded reports on an international level concerning the main telecommunications companies.
