Following the attack by terrorists on an Army jawan in Tral, Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army along with Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a massive cordon and search operation in the area.
Chinar Corps, Indian Army said on Twitter, “A large-scale cordon and search operation has been launched by the Indian Army along with Jammu and Kashmir in Tral, Pulwama, where a soldier on leave was shot by terrorists. The soldier has been evacuated and his condition is stable.”

Official sources said that an Army soldier was injured in firing by terrorists in Tral area of Awantipora, Pulwama on Wednesday. According to sources, the jawan, who was on leave and had returned home, suffered a bullet wound in his leg. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Sources said that his condition is stable and security forces have surrounded the area.
