The air quality in the national capital remains in the ‘very poor’ category as the AQI was recorded at 332 at 7 am on Friday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. AQI was recorded in various areas of the national capital like Anand Vihar. According to CPCB, at 7 am, 393 cases were recorded in Anand Vihar, 356 in Ashok Vihar, 322 on IGI Airport Road and 381 in Jahangirpuri.
The condition of the city has worsened, with residents complaining of difficulty in breathing, irritation in the eyes and many skin related health problems. A resident said, “It has been a long time since this problem has been going on. Its condition has worsened in the last few days. Due to this the workers are facing a lot of trouble. The government has failed to take any steps. We want to get rid of pollution.”

Another person complained of poor visibility and said it had become difficult to live in the capital city. “Our eyes are burning,” the resident complained. It is becoming difficult to breathe every day. Pollution has increased. There are hardly any visitors there, it is becoming difficult to live here with each passing day.”
