NADA (National Anti-Doping Agency) has taken strict action against India’s star wrestler Bajrang Punia and banned him for 4 years. The reason for the ban is violation of the anti-doping code. After this ban, now Punia cannot wrestle for the next four years nor can he participate in any wrestling event in the country or abroad. besides that Now Bajrang Punia will not even be able to give coaching.

Under this decision, Bajrang will no longer be able to participate in any competitive wrestling and he will also not be allowed to avail any coaching opportunity abroad. Initially, on April 23, NADA had imposed a temporary suspension on Bajrang, which was lifted on May 31. However, on June 23, NADA formally informed him about the allegations. Bajrang challenged these allegations on 11 July, the hearing of which was held on 20 September and 4 October.
