Bank Holidays in December 2024:The last month of November is going on. After about 5 days from now, the last month of the year i.e. December 2024 will begin. If you have left aside important bank related work for this month, then check the bank holiday list before the beginning of December, otherwise you may get into trouble because in the last month of the year, apart from Sunday, second and fourth Saturday, there are national holidays. And due to local importance, banks are going to remain closed for 17 days. These bank holidays may be different in different states. You can check the complete list of holidays when the bank operations will be halted in your state.
December is the last month of the year. In this month, days of local and national importance like Saint Francis Xavier festival, Goa Liberation Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve i.e. 31st December will fall. Due to which banks will remain closed on different days in different parts of the country.Reserve Bank of India releases the list of bank holidays on state-wise, regional and national occasions on its official website. According to the website of the Central Bank, all scheduled and non-scheduled banks have a holiday on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.

All banks across the country will be closed for 7 days on weekends in December.

15 December 2024- Sunday – Weekly holiday
22 December 2024 – Sunday – Weekly Holiday

29 December 2024 – Sunday – Weekly Holiday

During bank hours, you can use available digital payment options like UPI, IMPS and net banking as well as online banking platforms and mobile apps to meet your expenses. These include all the expenses like check book order, bill payment, prepaid phone recharge, money transfer, hotel and travel ticket booking. For most of these transactions, you have to log in to your net banking account on the website of your respective bank and click once. Checks can be stopped easily through digital banking.
