American markets closed mixed on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Dow Jones Industrial rose by 47 points and closed at the level of 43958.19. NASDAQ Composite fell by 51 points and closed at the level of 19230.73. While the S&P 500 index increased by about 1 point and closed at the level of 5985.38.
Selling in Asian markets
In today’s trading, selling is being seen in major Asian markets. Talking about Asia, there is a weakness of 0.19 percent in GIFT NIFTY, while there is a gain of 0.10 percent in Nikkei 225. There is a 0.17 percent decline in the Straits Times, while the Hang Seng has weakened by about 0.96 percent. There is a weakness of 0.74 percent in Taiwan Weighted while Kospi is showing a gain of about 0.18 percent. Whereas Shanghai Composite is showing a decline of 0.55 percent.
FII and DII data
According to the provisional data available on NSE, on November 13, 2024, foreign portfolio investors i.e. FIIs were net sellers and sold shares worth Rs 2502.58 crore. Whereas domestic institutional investors were net buyers during this period and they bought shares worth Rs 6145.24 crore on November 12, 2024.
Stock in F&O ban
Stocks under F&O ban on NSE today on 14 November 2024 include Aarti Industries, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, GNFC, Granules India and Hindustan Copper. According to NSE, the derivative contracts in these securities have crossed 95 per cent of the market-wide position limit and they have been placed under the ban period of the stock exchange.
Crude near $72 per barrel
Rangebound trading is being seen in Brent crude. In the international market, crude is trading beyond $72 per barrel. Whereas WTI crude is trading above $68 per barrel. America’s 10-year bond yield has strengthened to 4.46 percent. While the dollar index is around the level of 106.50.
