Vodafone Idea
Vodafone Idea’s loss has reduced to Rs 7175.9 crore in the September quarter. The main reason for this is the increase in average earnings per customer (ARPU) after the increase in tariff rates in July. However, due to this the company had to suffer loss of customers on quarterly basis. The company’s loss in the same quarter of the last financial year was Rs 8746.6 crore. The company’s income increased by 1.8 percent to Rs 10,918.1 crore.
Eicher Motors
Eicher Motors’ profit in the September quarter has increased by 8 percent to Rs 1100 crore. Profit has increased due to strong sales in all business segments. Operating income in the September quarter was Rs 4263 crore, which is its best income figure for the second quarter. The company’s operating income in the same quarter of the last financial year was Rs 4115 crore. Royal Enfield, the flagship company of Eicher Motors, sold 2,25,317 motorcycles in the September quarter.
Apollo Tires
Apollo Tires’ profit declined by 37 percent to Rs 297 crore in the September quarter. This tire manufacturing company had earned a profit of Rs 474 crore in the July-September quarter of the last financial year. Operating income stood at Rs 6,437 crore, compared to Rs 6,280 crore in the same period a year ago.
Tata Communications
Transaction Solutions International India (TSI India) will acquire 100% stake in Tata Communications Payment Solutions Limited (TCPSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Communications, for approximately Rs 330 crore. For this, share purchase agreement has been signed between both the companies. TCPSL is a company incorporated in India and is registered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as a white label ATM operator.
Kalyan Jewelers
Kalyan Jewelers’ profit declined by 3.37 percent to Rs 130.32 crore in the September quarter. In the same quarter of the last financial year, the company’s profit was Rs 134.87 crore. Operating income increased by 37.39 percent to Rs 6,065.48 crore from Rs 4,414.53 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. The company said it incurred a one-time loss of Rs 69 crore during the September quarter due to reduction in customs duty in India.
Deepak Nitrite
The company’s arm Deepak Chem Tech signed an agreement with associates of Trinseo to manufacture polycarbonate resins with an investment of Rs 5,000 crore.
