Bajaj Auto has unveiled the new 400cc Pulsar. Officially the company’s new bike is known as Pulsar NS400Z. Bajaj’s latest naked streetfighter will top the Pulsar lineup. The price of new Pulsar in Delhi starts from Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The feature rich latest Bajaj NS400Z is available in a single variant.
Bookings open for Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z
Booking is going on for 400cc Bajaj Pulsar. The token price for booking the company’s premium bike has been kept at Rs 5,000, that is, buyers can place an order for the new Pulsar by taking a token for Rs 5,000. Delivery of the bike is expected to start from next month. Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is available in four color options – Glossy Ebony Black, Metallic Pearl White, Cocktail Wine Red and Pewter Grey.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Design
Talking about the design of the new bike, it lives up to its expectations. Pulsar, which is at the top of its lineup, looks very attractive right from the start, especially from its front end. The front end has a single-pod projector headlamp with LED DRL on either side which gives a great look to the bike. The cluster itself is surrounded in an elaborate arrangement.
The sporty look of the 400cc Pulsar is further enhanced by the extended shrouds and muscular fuel tank. The rear end of Pulsar looks great with a floating tail section, twin LED taillamps, split grab rails, split seats and a tire hugger. This unit is in red color scheme. Other visual highlights include alloy wheels in black color and USD forks in golden color.
It has become the most feature packed Pulsar launched so far. The new Pulsar comes with a fully-digital LCD instrument panel with turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity through Bajaj Ride Connect app. Equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, call and text alerts, music control and lap timer. Other key features include projector LED headlights, LED position lamps, LED taillamps and blinkers, hazard lights and a USB charger. .
It has four ride modes – Rain (Rain), Road, Off-road and Sport and Electronic Ride Aids Switchable Electronic Traction Control and Ride-by-wire throttle see you.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Mechanical specs
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z bike gets a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled technology based 373cc engine for power generation like Bajaj Dominar (Dominar 400) and old generation KTM 390. This engine generates power of 39.5bhp and 35Nm peak torque. For transmission, the engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is based on the same perimeter frame. Like the Pulsar NS200, the suspension is suspended on gold-coloured 43mm upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. Talking about the braking system, double channel ABS and disc brakes have been provided at both ends to control the bike. 17-inch alloy wheels are fitted at the front and rear of the bike.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z bike will compete with vehicles like KTM Duke 390, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, Triumph Speed 400 and Bajaj Dominar 400 available in its segment.
