In areas controlled by the terrorist organization YPG (the Syrian wing of the PKK) in the province of Deir al-Zor in eastern Syria, the situation between PKK/YPG militants and Arab tribes has escalated.
Clashes broke out between the terrorists and Arab tribes on August 27 after the terrorists detained the so-called commander of the group, Ahmed al-Khabil, according to local sources.
Support in confronting terrorists with one of the largest tribes in the region, al-Aqidat, was provided by such clans as Beggara, Bushaban, Tai, Bukeyir and al-Jubur.
It is worth noting that residents of the villages of Suweidan, Jurzi, Ebu Hardob, Bahra, Shife, Shennan, Hawayij, Ziban, Shuheil, Izbe and Tayan in the southeastern and eastern parts of Deir az-Zor, where representatives of the above tribes predominantly live, opposed PKK/YPG terrorists.
Representatives of Arab tribes attacked a number of so-called terrorist headquarters and expelled members of the terrorist organization from the region.
It is noted that in the mentioned villages there were killed and wounded from among the militants, and dozens of terrorists were captured.
