Mexican divers Diego Balleza and Randal Willars competed in the Diving World Cup in Berlin, Germany thanks to the financial help of actresses Martha Higareda and Karla Souza.
It must be remembered that both Balleza and Willars are part of the athletes of aquatic disciplines who do not receive a scholarship from the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports, so neither does Conade support them with the expenses to compete internationally.
“The one who paid me for the Berlin competitions was Martha Higareda, so I am very grateful to those people who fall from the sky just before the competitions, Otherwise, Randal and I would not have gone to Berlin because Randal’s trip, the Bulgarian consul to Berlin, and Randal’s registration fee were also paid for by Karla Souza”, Balleza commented to “Claro Sports”.
Balleza not only thanked the actresses Martha Higareda and Karla Souza, but also the Mexican consul in Bulgaria, Pentcho Dimitrov Raltchev, who covered the cost of the trips.
“To the Jewish community here in Mexico, I am super grateful, the Bulgarian consul, who paid for all my trips, all from Mexico to Japan, Spain where I trained, Spain-Germany and back here, Everything was paid for by the Bulgarian consul, which is the entire Jewish community,” said the diver from Nuevo León.
