But what has the viewer of TelevisaUnivision been able to see in this plot? To begin with, we have encountered two major problems that our protagonist must endure, the first of which is the imprisonment of her father, which is why María Teresa -Carolina Miranda- must leave her job as a prominent businesswoman to delve into all the demands that they deem him as a farmer.
Once on her farm, “La Esperanza”, María Teresa will not only have to learn to live in the countryside, she will also have to deal with a society where men have the last word, where there is no law other than the one imposed. for this select group that has justice in its hands and likewise will find itself within a criminal network that threatens to take away everything for which she has come to fight.
On the way to justice in the name of her father and in the fight to make her farm generate enough income to return to economic glory, María Teresa will meet Santos -Andrés Palacios- who is nothing more and nothing less than her foreman , a man in love with a thousand women, an inveterate “womanizer” who only has two true loves: his godmother and “La Esperanza”.
Carolina Miranda and Andres Palacios
As a spectator of this story, it is rich to recognize that we are facing two actors who definitely had to give life to these characters. The dynamic between them is such that their dialogues are not only funny because of how they are said, but because of how much they both talk with their eyes. The smiles are fortuitous and at a bodily level his characters are also highly involved with the environment and the history that surrounds them.
Andrés as Santos looks really comfortable, the 48-year-old actor has managed to blend in with this character so much that life as a landowner in the countryside really shines for him.
Carolina Miranda for her part is captivating everyone who sees her. Her voice, her smile, her looks… all of her is perfectly conveying the moods of her character. The public is found smiling with her and vibrating with her dialogues with saints. The public is also learning to see country life through her eyes and coping with her the limitations of her environment in an exercise of appreciation for what one has and what one doesn’t.
we have a great villain
As Marco Rivas we have the actor Luis Roberto Guzmán, who is definitely giving us a character that is not just any villain. Marco is a sinister man, who knows no limits because his mental state is truly a problem.
At times we can intuit that we are facing a sociopath and in others facing a psychopath. The law does not exist for him, physical and verbal violence are characteristic of Marco and the people around him are worth what he can offer them. If this represents a burden then they do not deserve to live and if they fail death they have it more than insured.
Along with him we also have other characters that complement the villains, in this story the hatred is not exclusive towards the protagonists and that is appreciated because the rest of the characters that take part in this soap opera also have a past and present history that affects, counts and is worth equally.
This telenovela is a production by José Alberto Castro. This story is a remake of the telenovela “La Tormenta” starring Natalia Streignard and Christian Meier in 2005.
