French Open (French Open 202l) in the semifinals Novak Djokovic has entered the final after defeating Rafael. Djokovic will face world number 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas. Novak has become the first player to defeat record 13-time French Open champion Rafael in the semi-finals. Djokovic came back strongly to beat Nadal 3-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-2.
Earlier in the year 2016, Djokovic won the French Open title on clay court. Djokovic has won 18 Grand Slam titles so far.
Nadal, who holds a 105-2 (win-lose) record at the French Open, previously had a 7-1 record against Djokovic. In the final, Djokovic will now face Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, who has lost only one set this year.
Nadal has won 20 Grand Slams so far. Nadal has 13 French Open titles to his name, apart from this he has won the US Open 4 times, Wimbledon twice and the Australian Open title once. Whereas, Djokovic won only 1 French Open title in his career in 2016.
Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, world number five male tennis player, has reached the final of a Grand Slam event for the first time. The 22-year-old Tsitsipas achieved this feat by defeating Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the men’s singles semi-final played on Friday. Tsitsipas defeated world number six Zverev 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3 in a match that lasted three hours and 37 minutes.
