9,470 Kovid cases were confirmed in the state; 101 deaths


Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 has been confirmed for 9,470 people in the state today. According to a press release issued by the Health Department, the latest Covid information in the state is clear.

Those who have confirmed the disease

The worst affected districts are Ernakulam 1337, Thiruvananthapuram 1261, Thrissur 930, Kozhikode 921, Kollam 696, Malappuram 660, Palakkad 631, Kottayam 569, Kannur 561, Idukki 522, Pathanamthitta 447, Alappuzha 432, Wayanad 318 and Kasaragod 185.

88,310 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is 332 wards in 227 Local Government Areas above 10. There will be strict control here.

Disease-free

A total of 12,881 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 2241, Kollam 863, Pathanamthitta 521, Alappuzha 725, Kottayam 867, Idukki 586, Ernakulam 1318, Thrissur 1421, Palakkad 662, Malappuram 1045, Kozhikode 1333, Wayanad 378, Kannur 753 and Kasaragod 168 were cured. With this, 1,13,132 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 46,44,211 have so far been freed from Covid.

There are currently 3,66,250 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,52,851 are under home / institutional quarantine and 13,399 in hospitals. A total of 927 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Currently, out of 1,13,132 Covid cases, only 10.4 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

It has been confirmed today that 101 deaths in the last few days were due to Covid-19. This brings the total death toll to 26,173.

Today, 54 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 8971 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 397 is not clear. The disease affected 48 health workers.
