Those who have confirmed the disease
The worst affected districts are Thrissur 1017, Thiruvananthapuram 963, Ernakulam 817, Kozhikode 787, Kottayam 765, Palakkad 542, Kollam 521, Kannur 426, Pathanamthitta 424, Idukki 400, Malappuram 353, Alappuzha 302, Wayanad 185 and Kasaragod 141.
A total of 10,488 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1056, Kollam 541, Pathanamthitta 520, Alappuzha 443, Kottayam 605, Idukki 540, Ernakulam 2005, Thrissur 1247, Palakkad 595, Malappuram 754, Kozhikode 1141, Wayanad 397, Kannur 566 and Kasaragod 78 were cured. With this, 80,262 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 47,60,781 people have so far been freed from Covid.
During the last 24 hours, 82,408 samples were tested. The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) is 211 wards in 158 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.
It has been confirmed today that 77 deaths in the last few days were due to Covid-19. This brings the total death toll to 27,002.
Today, 44 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 7166 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 353 is not clear. About 80 health workers were affected by the disease.
Those who can be monitored
There are currently 2,92,178 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,83,368 are under home / institutional quarantine and 9,810 are under observation in hospitals. A total of 854 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
Currently, out of 80,262 Covid cases, only 10.4 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.
