Those who have confirmed the disease
The worst affected districts are Thrissur 998, Ernakulam 975, Thiruvananthapuram 953, Kozhikode 746, Kottayam 627, Kollam 604, Kannur 446, Malappuram 414, Pathanamthitta 377, Idukki 365, Palakkad 345, Alappuzha 303, Wayanad 271 and Kasaragod 131.
A total of 10,773 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1213, Kollam 549, Pathanamthitta 746, Alappuzha 546, Kottayam 546, Idukki 613, Ernakulam 1671, Thrissur 1172, Palakkad 681, Malappuram 907, Kozhikode 977, Wayanad 420, Kannur 601 and Kasaragod 131 were cured. With this, 87,593 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 47,39,270 have so far been freed from Covid.
During the last 24 hours, 73,157 samples were tested. The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) is 211 wards in 158 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.
Covid-19 has been confirmed as the cause of 74 deaths in the last few days. This brings the total death toll to 26,865.
Today, 44 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 7162 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 278 is not clear. 71 health workers were affected by the disease.
Those who can be monitored
There are currently 3,11,361 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,01,156 are under home / institutional quarantine and 10,205 in hospitals. 901 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
Of the current 87,593 Covid cases, only 10 per cent are hospitalized / field hospitals.
