Those who have confirmed the disease
The worst affected districts are Ernakulam 1058, Thiruvananthapuram 1010, Kozhikode 749, Thrissur 639, Malappuram 550, Kottayam 466, Kollam 433, Idukki 430, Palakkad 426, Kannur 424, Alappuzha 336, Pathanamthitta 179, Kasaragod 166 and Wayanad 130.
During the last 24 hours, 66,702 samples were tested. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is 332 wards in 227 local bodies above 10. There will be strict control here.
A total of 16,576 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1403, Kollam 2376, Pathanamthitta 332, Alappuzha 623, Kottayam 990, Idukki 651, Ernakulam 3825, Thrissur 1229, Palakkad 978, Malappuram 926, Kozhikode 1918, Wayanad 539, Kannur 708 and Kasaragod 78 were cured. With this, 1,01,419 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 46,73,442 have so far been freed from Covid.
Those who can be monitored
There are currently 3,54,720 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,42,367 are under home / institutional quarantine and 12,353 in hospitals. A total of 677 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
Currently, out of 1,01,419 Covid cases, only 10.8 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.
It has been confirmed today that 84 deaths in the last few days were due to Covid-19. This brings the total death toll to 26,342.
Today, 40 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 6588 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 333 is not clear. Thirty-five health workers were affected.
