Chennai:6 flight services canceled at Chennai airport due to lack of passengers.
The Cricket World Cup final was held yesterday at Narendra Modi Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Most of the people avoided travel yesterday in the interest of watching the final match between India and Australia on TV from home. Hence, the number of passengers on flights yesterday was very less.
Due to lack of passengers at Chennai airport, 3 departures of Indigo Airlines flight from Chennai to Trichy at 9.25 am, Indigo Airlines flight to Bangalore at 10 am and Indigo Airlines flight to Trichy at 3.30 pm were canceled yesterday.
Similarly, 3 incoming flights of Indigo Airlines flight from Bangalore to Chennai at 8.05 am, Indigo Airlines flight from Trichy to Chennai at 12 noon and IndiGo Airlines flight to Chennai from Trichy at 6 pm have been cancelled.
