No shortage of figures in Kerala
Concerns are heightened in Kerala by the persistently high test positivity rate. According to a report released by the Department of Health on Tuesday, the state’s test positivity is 18.76 percent. A total of 32,803 cases were reported yesterday. It was confirmed on Saturday that the 173 deaths in the past few days were due to Covid-19. 2,29,912 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are currently undergoing treatment.
Statistics of relief for the country
In the last 24 hours, 47,092 new cases of Covid have been reported in the country, according to the Union Health Ministry. This brings the total number of confirmed Covid cases in the country to 3,28,57,937 crore. 16,06,785 inspections were carried out in the country yesterday. 52.31 crore inspections have been carried out in the country so far.
Slight reduction in mortality
According to the Union Ministry of Health, 509 new deaths have been reported in the country. This brings the total number of Covid deaths in the country to 4,39,020. Out of 509 Covid deaths, 173 deaths have been reported in Kerala. In Kerala, 20,961 people have died of Covid so far.
Increase in immunity
Statistics show that there is an increase in the number of Covid liberators in the country. The cure rate is 97.48 percent. In the last 24 hours, 35,181 people have been freed from Covid. With this, 3,20,28,825 people have so far got rid of Covid. There are 3,89,583 active cases in various states. Of these, more than two lakh active patients are in Kerala.
The record vaccination in the country took place yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 81,09,244 people have been vaccinated against covid, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 66,30,37,334, according to data released by the Union Ministry of Health this morning.
