46.25% voting took place in Jharkhand till 1 pm, highest voting took place in Baharagora assembly.
Voting for the first phase has started in Jharkhand today i.e. on Wednesday. Voting for the first phase has started at 7 am and will continue till 5 pm. According to the Election Commission of India, Jharkhand (Phase-1) recorded 46.25% voting till 1 pm.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Neha Arora said, βThe estimated turnout till 1 pm is 46.25%. The highest turnout was 53.87% in Ghatshila assembly constituency, 53.86% in Baharagora and 53.68% in Kharsawan. Cases of violation of Model Code of Conduct have been registered and according to the information received so far, FIR has been registered in 2 cases in Bhavnathpur, 3 in Jamshedpur…β
According to Election Commission data, 29.31 percent voting took place in Jharkhand till 11 am. Now a long queue of people is being seen at the booth.
Voting is taking place on 43 seats in Jharkhand today. Let us tell you that it will be held on 20th November on other 38 seats of the states. Election results will come on 23rd November along with Maharashtra. The tenure of the current assembly in Jharkhand ends on January 5, 2025. In Jharkhand, 15344 polling stations have been created for 43 seats in the first phase. 200 companies of central paramilitary forces have been deployed to ensure fair, transparent and peaceful voting. According to the Election Commission, a total of 683 candidates are in the fray in the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections. These also include 73 women candidates. Of the 43 assembly seats in the first phase, 17 are general, while 20 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes and 6 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes.
