Enes Kaplan 55 kg, Ömer Faruk Dayıoğlu 59 kg, Rahmet Baran Şimşek 78 kg, Canan Gündüz 44 kg and Büşra Öztürk 68 kg competed in men.
National taekwondo player Ömer Faruk Dayıoğlu won the gold medal by defeating Maksim Bandarevich from Belarus with a technical superiority of 31-8 at the end of the second round in the men’s 59 kg final. Rahmet Baran Şimşek, representing Turkey in the 78 kg category, won the silver medal.
Having won 1 gold and 4 bronze medals in the first two days of the championship, Turkey increased the number of medals to 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.
On the last day of the organization, Kadir Şantaş in men’s 63 kilos, Mehmet Efe Özdemir in +78 kilos, Şeyma Köseoğlu in women’s 46 kilos, Aleyna Şenyurt in 49 kilos and Öykü Özbey in 52 kilos will fight for medals.
